We are simply dying over the “Clutch Clip” created by Jeff Rubio for the 7th Annual Umbra x Platt Design Competition. His stylish design granted him winner of the competition; and will make many of us the winner in lunch rooms world wide, as well as in offices, when we gorgeously clip our brown bag lunches and bind our loose papers.

Artificial Turf… No I Am Not Kidding!
As achild growing up in the 70s and 80s in suburban Southern California, I visited a mind-boggling number houses that had Astro-Turf covering the inside of sunrooms and porches. It gave me the creeps, even as a child…. But for some reason I am reconsidering things and giving artificial turf a second look. I have a small patio outside of my boudoir that is cute but I feel like it needs something extra… something interesting, quirky, fun, cozy… Nothing else seems to fit the bill!
Do I dare take the plunge into ultra campiness? I think so!

Flight of Fancy
When I was 3 years-old I fell in love with my first pair of shoes; a red pair of sneakers with reflectors on the front and back. I loved the shoes so much that I insisted on wearing them to bed every night, not even wanting to remove them when I slept.

Designer Drug Awareness
A design collaboration between Butong, Cochenko and Quatorze, CCPP — Chantier créatif de prévention partagee — Space, light, sound and drugs is an installation that will travel to schools and institutions as part of a drug awarness campaign commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture and the MILDT.
The installation holds one solitary guest at a time, creating a hallucinogenic space through the use of space, light and sound. It has three continuously linked spaces that respond to the visitors movements and mindset, producing a personal experience that promotes discussion of the different aspects of drug use.
