Fashion As Art… Japanese Designers Are Always So Much Cooler
I promise (well… maybe…) that this will be the last of the last posts on Spring RTW 2011.
I simply had to do my closing post for the season on some favorite Japanese designers. I have a great love for intellectual, “avant garde” (if you will) fashion. I think the fashion world is over-saturated with redundant images of beauty and glamour, which can become so tiresome… The designers below break the mold, stimulating our imaginations and expanding our perceptions of sophisticated elegance.

Shopping When You Are Supposed To Be…. Well Doing Anything…
On school nights and school days (when I am working) I like to shop online. It is a terrific stress reliever! I am a fan of vintage clothing and designer clothing and frequently shop on eBay (yes I have my favorite sellers). I recently met with the fabulously stylish ladies at eBay and took photos for their new Look Book feature. You can tag the items you are wearing and then eBay makes suggestions as to what other items may interest you. This is fantastic, as it cuts down on the endless searching and searching for the perfect thing. Instead, put on a look you are going for, submit your photo, tag your items and voila… they do the rest! Apparently, they also have a new iPhone application that allows you to shop and bid from your phone… I haven’t tried it out yet, but I am sure it will soon be my new addiction!

Yes… A Chicken Coop… Really!
It seems that for the past few days I have been suffering from “degrees of hysteria”. First it was the Do Do Bassinet… Today it is the Nogg Modern Chicken Coop!
The recent trend in “urban farming” is taking over cities like Los Angeles and New York and the Nogg’s elegant aesthetic appearance speaks to just how far we have come in our quest to bring a bit of nature back into our lives. The coop is made to comfortably house two to four chickens in a way that advocates the provenance of home grown foods.
