With the arrival of Spring it is only natural to begin to daydream about all of the gorgeous evenings we will spend outdoors having delicious meals, sipping summery cocktails, having conversations with friends both frivolous and life changing. There is something enchanting about entertaining outdoors. One of the keys to setting this enchanting scene is with the perfect outdoor fireplace. Modfire has come out with the most stunning model I have seen since the 70s. Pioneer of Style, Grace and Fashion: Ann Bonfoey Taylor

We love originality, trueness of spirit, and daring. Ann Bonfoey Taylor exemplified all of those qualities and then some! We are delighted that the Phoenix Art Museum is currently holding an exhibition entitled FASHION INDEPENDENT: The Original Style of Ann Bonfoey Taylor. Ann Bonfoey Taylor, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 96 spent a lifetime amassing… or rather curating… a collection of large quantities of Balenciaga, Charles James, Madame Grès and Givenchy, to name some of the heavy weights. The exhibit features 200 pristine pieces, including 60 ensembles, the bulk of which date from the Fifties to the Seventies. Fashion Independent runs through May 29. Girl Next Door – A Pole Dance Soirée

Albertine & Odette had the pleasure of attending the sold out March premiere of Girl Next Door – a pole dance soirée held at King King in Los Angeles. Yes… you heard it right, Darlings… A Pole Dance Soirée! Check all of your little preconceived notions at the door… This show is HOT!

The show brings together top-notch dancers and choreographers, who give us something we have not seen before (and that is a feat all on its own); a sexy, spellbinding, theatrical revue that beautifully combines dance, gymnastics, artistry and acrobatics. The allure, grace, strength and pure talent and athletic ability of the dancers had the audience literally screaming with delight! In fact we are still screaming over here!

This show will definitely get your heart racing! And if you are a lady or a gay man… you will certainly be signing up for pole dancing classes! We guarantee it!

DIVA SHOES!!!

While one of my dear friends is in Italy, I am cat sitting. This afternoon I was over at my fabulous friend’s house spoiling one of my favorite kitties and I stumbled across a large box of shoes sent over by one of the top magazines…. Being that the box was open, I had to dig through the box and see what treasures were hidden inside. Low and behold, I came across this pair of GORGEOUS Louboutin’s. And wouldn’t you know… the slipper found it’s Cinderella. They turned out to be just my size… and heavens, they are certainly my style! I think I am madly, deeply in LUST!

Gucci RTW Fall 2011 is bold, theatrical and well-tailored. The references to Yves Saint Laurent and Casablanca paired with the rich colours and textures conjure up all manner of intrigue and mystery. Youth & Beauty: Xavier Dolan

Heartbeats (originally titled: Les Amour Imaginaires) the latest film from 22 year-old filmmaker Xavier Dolan received a standing ovation at Cannes. Dolan’s hyper-stylized films are known for their saturated, slow motion, Wong Kar Wai-esqe beauty.
